Mechanical throttle or shift cable Mercury 600 · Dometic / Teleflex · Mercury/MerCruiser.

Standard Mercury range with type 600 connections for compatible mechanical Mercury and MerCruiser controls. Do not substitute GEN II without checking the ends.

The stated length is the complete cable measured end to end, not just the conduit or control stroke. 1 foot = 0.3048 m. Separate conduit length is not published. For replacement, read the length printed on the old cable and compare both ends.

For a new Dometic installation, measure the actual route from the control to the engine connection; for outboards add 4 ft (1.22 m) for engine movement, then round up to the next commercial foot length. Do not add this allowance again to an existing cable length. Avoid tight bends and follow the control manual.

Check engine model and year, control generation, mounting points, stroke and end fittings. Engine brand alone does not guarantee compatibility. This is a throttle/shift cable, not a steering cable.

Sold individually: 1 cable. Throttle and shift normally require two cables, which may need different lengths.
