- Built-in Class D DSC
For added security, the IC-M423GE is equipped with two receivers, one of which is dedicated to channel 70 to ensure that no DSC (Digital Selective Calling) calls are missed.

- IPX7 waterproofing and AquaQuake™
Designed to withstand marine environments, the IC-M423GE's front panel is resistant to seawater and rain according to the IPX7 standard.
The AquaQuake™ function allows for infrasonic water expulsion to "dry" the microphone and speaker.

- Active Noise Reduction
A digital processor reduces background noise in both directions of communication by up to 90% (20 dB) to ensure an ideal connection under any circumstances (wind, engine noise, etc.).

- Boat Foghorn and 10W Deck Amplifier
In combination with an optional voice carrier, the IC-M423GE provides an automatic boat foghorn and a deck amplifier with a 10W audio output.

- RX Function
The "RX" function allows you to switch VHF reception to the deck amplifier (hailer). This exclusive Icom feature allows, for example, a fisherman to continue listening to VHF with great clarity when working outside the wheelhouse.

- Position Request, Position/Report, and Sounder Report
These functions are disabled by default and can be programmed by an authorized installer. They allow the exchange of coordinates between your boat and surrounding vessels equipped with compatible stations. Its position information can be transmitted to onboard navigation equipment in NMEA0183 format (radar, chartplotters, etc.).
The "Sound Request" function checks for the presence of a specific vessel (if within range).
