GRIPPY Heavy

Purpose
Automatic anchor buoy with 20 m HMPE line, removable marker and automatic solar-powered night light. Attaches to the anchor crown trip-line point to mark the anchor and assist release when snagged. Two watertight compartments and dynamic drift limiter. Diameter 20 cm; weight approximately 1.4 kg. Optional 10 m extension 87250479 allows depths up to 30 m. Accessories: rail clip 87250457, pole 87250477, stainless cable 87250478. Declared 1000 kg line strength is not an anchor lifting rating.

Breaking strength is not an allowable anchor weight or a rated lifting load. The trip line does not replace the main anchor chain or rode.
Included
Buoy with self-retracting trip line, removable daytime marker, rubber bands and Velcro, rail bracket, stainless protection cable with shackle, and user manual, according to the current official manual.
Not included and optional accessories
Anchor, chain and main anchor rode are not included. The 10 m HMPE extension (87250479) is sold separately. References 87250477, 87250457 and 87250478 are spares or additional accessories; they do not need to be purchased again to complete the listed kit.
How it works
Attach the protection cable to the anchor crown trip-line point. The line pays out as the anchor is lowered and adjusts to depth; the buoy marks the anchor position. To free a fouled anchor, pull only the trip line as instructed in the manual; never force the buoy housing.
Rinse with fresh water after use. Keep solar cells clean on illuminated versions. Do not open the unit or pull beyond the line stop. Use the safety strap; stow the buoy in a locker in rough seas or while planing.
Choose your GRIPPY
Basic: 15 m, no light. Light: 25 m, solar night light. Heavy: 20 m, stronger trip line and solar light. ABR: 20 m, solar light and retrieval brake for high bows and catamarans. The optional extension adds 10 m. These models do not include GPS or GRIPPY Tracker functions.
