Detailed description
Garmin STRIKER Plus 4 GPS · with transducer dual-beam
Garmin STRIKER Plus 4 GPS · with transducer dual-beam. Traditional CHIRP sonar with a dual-beam transducer for separating fish from bottom features. Quickdraw Contours. 010-01870-01.
Display and onboard controls
The colour display keeps sonar and navigation information together in a compact unit. Keypad controls let you select views and adjust the presentation during a fishing trip. The dimensions and resolution of this particular version are listed in the specification table; they should not be confused with those of other display sizes in the range.
Traditional CHIRP sonar for fish and bottom detail
Traditional sonar represents echoes returned by fish and the bottom. CHIRP uses a sweep of frequencies to provide more detailed information and improve the separation of nearby targets. It helps you identify fish arches and bottom changes, alongside depth readings and water-temperature information. The frequencies supported by the unit may differ from those available with the transducer actually fitted.
Built-in GPS, waypoints, routes and speed
The high-sensitivity GPS receiver lets you mark fishing spots, ramps, docks and other points of interest, return to saved positions and view boat speed. Routes and tracks help retain a useful reference for your journey. This STRIKER offers waypoint and track navigation; it does not load commercial nautical charts like a mapping chartplotter.
Personal maps with Garmin Quickdraw Contours
Quickdraw Contours creates bottom maps as you travel with sonar operating. Its 30 cm contours let you record the bottom shape in your own fishing areas and consult it on later trips. Build a record of explored locations without specialist mapping knowledge. Quickdraw fishing maps do not replace official navigation charts.
Tools for adjusting and interpreting sonar
Split-screen zoom helps you examine part of the water column in more detail. Automatic gain assists with echo presentation, fish symbols provide an alternative display and the adjustable depth line helps place a target. A-scope displays echoes in real time as they pass through the sonar beam. Bottom lock helps maintain a reference to the bottom.
Transducer and contents of this exact part number
This version includes the transducer identified below, together with the supplied installation components. The power and sonar modes supported by the unit do not mean that every transducer operates at every available frequency.
