Detailed description
Navigation and fishing on one display: Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 102sv
The Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 102sv combines a GPS chartplotter and fishing sonar in a unit designed to show your position, save useful spots and study underwater terrain on the same trip. Navigation and sonar views can be arranged together, helping you relate returns to the position at which they were recorded. It suits fishing boats that need clear information when exploring a mark, repeating a productive drift or returning to a saved waypoint.
Display and controls
The 10-inch colour display presents mapping and sonar returns together. Touchscreen with keyed assist. Combination views help you compare navigation with bottom information, while high-contrast colour palettes make targets and structures easier to distinguish. The exact resolution and unit dimensions are listed below so you can check the available console space before choosing the installation position.
Sonar for understanding the bottom
Traditional CHIRP sonar shows the water column and helps separate fish from other returns. ClearVü provides a scanning view beneath the boat, useful for reading rocks, vegetation and changes in the bottom. SideVü adds scanning to both sides, allowing you to search for structure without driving directly over it. Available images depend on the installed transducer: unit compatibility does not mean every sensor or sonar mode is included with this part number. Actual performance depends on depth, salinity, operating frequency and installation.
GPS, charts and Quickdraw
The built-in multi-band GPS receiver provides position information and lets you save waypoints for a return to fishing spots. You can plan routes and keep tracks of your trips. Quickdraw Contours creates contour maps from your own passes when a compatible depth source is connected. This version has a worldwide basemap; detailed Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts are sold separately. Chart functions and updates depend on the selected coverage and subscription. Auto Guidance+, where supported with suitable charts, is a planning aid and requires the route and actual conditions to be checked.
Onboard connections
Built-in Wi-Fi connects to ActiveCaptain on a compatible phone for software updates and access to Quickdraw Community information. Connections to compatible ECHOMAP units allow information such as waypoints, routes and sonar images to be shared, subject to Garmin's supported combinations. NMEA 2000 connectivity supports integration with compatible sensors and equipment. A separately purchased Force trolling motor can also be connected. LiveScope compatibility allows expansion with a real-time sonar system; the required compatible module and transducer are not included. LiveScope cannot be shared wirelessly between these chartplotters. Ultra 2 also supports screen recording through ActiveCaptain on a paired smartphone, useful for saving and sharing sequences from the plotter.
Version and transducer
This part number is supplied without a transducer. It allows you to choose a sensor suited to the hull and fishing style or use an existing compatible Garmin transducer. Before reusing a sensor, check its connector, the required adapter cable and the sonar modes it supports. A compatible sonar source is required to display depth and underwater images.
